St Peter’s is the Parish Church of Burnley and has been a place of Christian worship for over a thousand years.
It has been designated a child-friendly church and welcomes people of all faiths or none with a variety of services, discussion groups, social gatherings and concerts.
St Peter’s is proud to host concerts by the Burnley Choir and Orchestra and the Burnley and Pendle Deanery Choir with Ightenhill School Choir. Saturday morning concerts take place throughout the year. The fortnightly Soup & Sandwich Lunch meets on Wednesdays, and the Lunch Club for the over 55’s on Thursdays.
The heritage centre within the church gives an insight into Burnley’s history. The church possesses a fine three manual Hill organ (restored in 1999) and a Steinway Boston grand piano.
The church is available to hire for suitable events.
